RYA National Powerboat Certificate


Single and twin-engine boats
This two day course covers boat preparation, launch and recovery, boat handling under way, securing to a buoy and anchoring, leaving and coming alongside pontoons and other craft, man over board, disabled craft, charts, tides, compass and practical
instruction and advice on the use of locks
This course covers all you need to know about small and medium size boat handling.

Powerboat level two course £198 per person,

Powerboat level two course one to one training £250

Also Included in our level two course fees,
RYA Powerboat handbook,
and free refreshments will be available all day (this only applies to course run from Barry).

International Certificate of Competence (ICC)

We run these tests / courses for both coastal and inland waters, Most European countries now require these Certificates if you are taking your own boat or looking to hire one abroad

Direct assessments for the ICC can be arranged for people who already have a good working knowledge of the rules of the road and boat manoeuvring.

CEVNI Test
For european inland waterways includes rivers,
This is a theory test and takes about one hour.

RYA Safety boat Course

This two-day course provides the skills required when acting as an escort craft, safety boat or coach boat for a fleet of dinghies, windsurfers or canoes, or for racing or training activities

RYA Introduction to powerboating (Level one)

Ideal if you or someone you know is thinking of buying their first boat.The course covers Launch and recovery
preparation of boat and crew, boat handling,  picking up and securing to a mooring buoy, leaving and coming alongside, being towed

£125 per person,
This is a one day course.

Providing it is over sixteen feet in length and has third party insurance cover and it’s seaworthy.
